Taco Salad Recipe

This first recipe was sent to us by Bernadette from Whitewood in the USA. We did try this recipe and all enjoyed it very much. We used venison burger in the recipe.

Ingredients and Instructions:

2 pounds hamburger
1 package taco sauce

1/2 head lettuce
1 tomato, coarsely chopped
1/2 cucumber, coarsely chopped
1/2 onion, chopped
1/2 green pepper, coarsely chopped
1/2 red pepper, coarsely chopped
1 cup black olives, chopped
1/2 bag tortilla chips, smashed

1 bottle Catalina dressing
1 cup salsa or picante sauce
1 cup grated cheddar cheese

Brown hamburger, then drain the grease off. Mix taco sauce according to directions and add hamburger.

In a big bowl combine next eight ingredients, add hamburger mixture, and then mix all together with Catalina dressing and salsa. Top with grated cheese.

Makes enough for about 6 people. Enjoy!

Ingredients and Instructions:

1 lb ground beef - cooked and seasoned for tacos
1 bag Shredded cheddar cheese
Chopped tomatoes
Chopped lettuce (3/4 - 1 full head of iceberg)
Doritos chips (I prefer nacho cheese) or
Fritos are good too!
Western dressing

Mix all ingredients together and add Western dressing until it's moist. Add a little at a time and taste test. You don't want to drench it.
