Swedish Meatballs

Ingredients: 2 lbs. ground beef 2 cups soft bread crumbs 2 3oz. pkg. of cream cheese 1/2 cup dry onion soup mix 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg 2 1/2 cups milk 2 tbsp. all purpose flour In a bowl combine meat, bread crumbs, cheese, soup mix, salt, nutmeg and 1/2 cup of milk. Mix thoroughly. Shape into about 40 small balls. In a large skillet, brown the meatballs lightly. Shake the skillet while cooking will keep the meatballs round. Cover and cook 20-25 minutes or until done. Remove the meatballs and drain off excess fat leaving about 1/4 cup of fat in the skillet. Blend the flour into the fat and stir in all the remaining milk. Cook and stir until thick and bubbly. Return the meatballs to the skillet and cover and cook until thoroughly heated. This Swedish meatball recipe will serve 10-12 people.
