Honey Roasted Chicken

Ingredients:

one medium size chicken

Marinade:

2 tbs teriyaki sauce
2 tbs honey
2 tbs butter
2 tbs light sauce
1 tsp salt
juice from 1 lemon
(do not discard lemon peel)
pepper to taste

Stuffing:

1 clove of garlic (slightly smashed)
1 medium size onion (chopped up)
lemon peel ( from the marinade)
3-4 slices of old ginger

Instructions :

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Stuff the chicken with all the above stuffing.

Combine all the marinade and rub chicken all over with the marinade. (chicken is to be marinated for at least 2 hours).

Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees F for 1-1/2 hours, basting every 30 minutes with left over marinade.

Sauce For Honey Roasted Chicken Strips NEW

1/2 cup chicken broth
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/3 cup honey
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon ketchup
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon lemon zest
2 green onions (chopped)

In a sauce pan combine the chicken broth and cornstarch and stir until smooth. Add the honey, lemon juice, ketchup, and garlic powder. Stir over medium heat until reaching a boil. Remove the heat and stir in lemon zest. Pour over chicken strips and garnish with green onion.

Honey Roasted Chicken Wings NEW

3 pounds chicken wings
1 cup honey
2 tablespoons oil
1/2 cup soya sauce
2 tablespoons ketchup
salt
pepper
garlic salt

Cut chicken wings at joints and place on well oiled cookie pan. Combine all other ingredients and pour over chicken wings.

Bake in a 350 degree oven for one hour, basting frequently.
