Gramma Cookie

Because her last name was Cooke and she always had a large supply of freshly baked cookies for him, it isn't too hard to see how he came up with the name.

As Jordan was her only grandchild, the name stuck and soon we all began calling her by that name.

Although she was an excellent cook, and could turn any meal into a culinary delight, I think Mom's specialty was her pies. I don't know what special trick she used but they were absolutely incredible and my favorite was her apple pie. The crust was what made it great and it literally melted in your mouth...

Many of the recipes on this site were recipes that Mom used to prepare when I was a child. Since we've had the website we've received hundreds more from visitors to the site. Many of them are now included and many more are on the way.
