Cream Cheese Frosting

• 3 ounces cream cheese
• 1/4 cup butter
• 2 cups icing sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla

Soften the cream cheese and butter. Beat together until fluffy. Slowly beat in icing sugar adding a little at a time until smooth. Mix in vanilla.

Cocoa Banana Frosting

• 1/4 cup melted butter
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
• 2 tablespoon milk
• 1/2 cup cocoa
• 1/4 cup mashed banana
• 3 cup icing sugar

Melt butter. Add cocoa, vanilla, and banana. Mix in icing sugar and milk.

Coffee Icing

• 1/3 cup butter or margarine
• 1 3/4 cups sifted icing sugar
• 1 tablespoon instant coffee
• 1 egg yolk
• 2-3 tablespoons cream
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Beat all the ingredients together until very smooth. Ice cake when cold.

Favorite Icing

• 5 tablespoons flour
• 1 cup milk
• 1 cup white sugar
• 1 cup shortening
• 1 teaspoon vanilla

Cook flour and milk until thick. Cream sugar and shortening, add vanilla. Beat until fluffy. Add to cooked flour mixture. Beat until it looks like whipped cream. Ice cake.

Mock Whip Cream Icing

• 4 tablespoon soft butter
• 6 tablespoon icing sugar
• 2 tablespoon cold milk
• 2 tablespoon boiling water
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Beat butter until creamy, add icing sugar 1 tablespoon at a time. Beat until creamy. Add cold milk 1 tablespoon at a time, beating until smooth. Add boiling water, beating until thick and creamy. Add vanilla.
Be sure water is boiling or icing will be runny.
Do not use soft margarine.
Use butter or solid margarine.
