Cole Slaw Recipes

Recipe Name: Blender Cole Slaw

Ingredients and Instructions:

1 small head of cabbage 1 small bag of radishes 4 carrots 4 stalks of celery 6-8 green onions 1 small cucumber 1 green pepper, seeded

Dressing

½ cup salad oil
½ cup white vinegar
5 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper

Using food processor or processor attachment on a blender, chop all vegetables. Add dressing ingredients and mix well. Tastes best when chilled for a few hours or overnight.

Melody from Toledo sent us one of her favorite cole slaw recipes that has a Californian flair.

Recipe Name: California Cole Slaw

Ingredients and Instructions:

1 bag raw cole slaw
2 red delicious apples, diced
1 can crushed pineapple, drained
1 large box raisins
1 bag mini marshmallows
1 bottle mayo
1/2 C vinegar
salt and pepper to taste

Mix all ingredients in large bowl. Refridgerate three hours before serving.

Here's a different kind of cole slaw recipe that uses broccoli instead of cabbage. This one was sent in anonymously from the USA.

Recipe Name: Broccoli Slaw

Ingredients and Instructions:

2 Manns Broccoli Slaw
2 Pkgs. Ramen Noodles (Beef)
4 oz. Sunflower Seeds
8 oz. Sliced Almonds

Sauce:

1 cup Sugar
3/4 cup Veg. Oil
2 Season packs from Ramen Noodles
3 TBS Soy Sauce
1/3 cup Vinegar

Put on sauce in the morning - It will stay crisp Some people make it without Vinegar - I have done it both ways (Broccoli Slaw is found at Krogers by the lettuce. - It comes in a bag)
