Rotten Coconut Cake
1 box Duncan Hines white cake mix Bake cake mix, according to directions on box (bake in two layers). Freeze layers overnight. Icing: Combine coconut, vanilla, and sour cream. Refrigerate overnight. Thaw cake layers slightly (about 15 to 20 minutes). Slice layers in halves. *Spread icing on cake and between layers. Let set for 3 days before serving. (*Making 4 layers out of 2 by slicing them apart.)
Blue Ribbon Coconut Cake1 - Box White Cake mix, to be prepared according to package directions. Frosting
3 - 6 oz packages frozen coconut (Do not use dry) Bake cake according to package directions. While cake is baking combine coconut, sour cream and sugar. Refrigerate. Poke holes in cooled cake with a fork then frost. Refrigerate. Servings 18 Note. Cake tastes best if prepared 1-2 days prior to serving. The longer it sits the better it gets!
