Cheese Ball Recipes

These easy appetizer recipes were added on March 28, 2005

Hot Cheese Balls

  • 1 small jar sharp cheese (Kraft Old English)
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons margarine or butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 jar stuffed green olives
Mix cheese, flour, margarine, and salt thoroughly. Use enough dough to make a 3/4 inch ball. Flatten the dough in the palm of your hand and place an olive in the center of the dough. Reform the dough into a ball surrounding the olive. Place on greased chookie sheet. Store in refrigerator, covered until ready to use. Bake in 400 deg. oven for 10 minutes or until very lightly browned.

Holiday Cheese Ball Recipe

  • 2 8 ounce pkg. Philadelphia cream cheese
  • 1 8 ounce pkg. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1 8 ounce can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 2 tablespoons minced onions
  • 2 tablespoons red or green peppers (diced)
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • red cherries optional
Add drained pineapple to softened cheese slowly. Mix dry ingredients, excluding pecans, with cheese mixture. Shape into a ball; roll in 1 cup pecans. Decorate with red cherries; refrigerate.

Cheese Ball Recipe

  • 2 8 ounce pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 large can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/4 cup chopped green pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon seasoned salt
Mix all together and roll in a ball. Roll ball in nuts. Sprinkle with paprika. Serve with your favorite crackers.

Cheese Ball Recipe

  • 2 8 ounce pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon onion flakes
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
Measure ingredients in bowl. Mash and mix together. Shape into ball and refrigerate at least 2 hours. Serve with various crackers.

Olive Cheese Puffs

  • 24 stuffed green olives (may also use gerkins or cocktail onions)
  • 1/4 cup soft butter
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
Blend cheese, butter and stir in flour, salt, paprika, mixing well. Mold dough around olive. Bake at 400 de. F. for 10 minutes or until golden. These may be frozen and reheated in foil for 5 minutes at 325 deg. F.
