Chocolate Squares

• 2 eggs
• 1/2 cup butter
• 2 squares chocolate
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 1 cup flour
• 1 cup chopped walnuts

Melt chocolate and butter together. In another bowl mix the egg, sugar, flour and baking powder together. Add melted chocolate and butter and nuts. Place in a greased 8-Inch cake pan. Bake in 350 deg. F. oven for 20-25 minutes.

Best Brownie Recipes

• 3/4 cup melted shortening
• 2 cup sugar
• 8 tablespoons cocoa
• 4 eggs
• 1 2/3 cup flour
• 2 teaspoons vanilla
• 1 cup chopped nuts

Combine shortening, sugar and cocoa. Mix well. Add eggs and flour, mixing while adding. Add vanilla. Add nuts. Place in a 9x13 inch baking pan and bake in a 350 deg. F. oven for 25 minutes.

Lemon Coconut Squares

Base:

• 1 cup brown sugar
• 2 cups sifted flour
• 1 cup coconut
• 1/2 cup butter

Filling:

• 1 cup white sugar
• 2 tablespoon butter
• Juice and rind from 1 lemon
• 3 eggs, slightly beaten

Mix base ingredients together. Spread half into a greased 9x9 inch cake pan. Mix filling and heat to boiling in a saucepan. Simmer and stir for 1 minute. Cool. Spread over base. Spread remaining base and bake in oven at 350 deg. F. for 30 minutes.

Chewy Chocolate Brownie Recipes

• 1/2 cup butter or margarine
• 3 squares unsweetened chocolate
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup chopped nuts
• 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
• 1 1/4 cup sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 3eggs

Melt butter and chocolate in a saucepan on low heat. Stir until smooth. Remove from heat. Add sugar, vanilla and eggs. Beat well. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add to choclolate mixture, stirring until well blended. Spread in a greased 9x9 inch cake pan. Bake at 350 deg. F. for 25 to 35 minutes. Cool. Frost if desired and cut into squares.

No Bake Brownie Recipes

• 1 package semi-sweet chocolate
• 3 cup icing sugar
• 1/2 cup orange juice
• 3 tablespoon white corn syrup
• 1 cup chopped nuts
• 1 2/3 cub crushed graham wafers

Melt chocolate over simmering water. Add all ingredients and mix well. Turn mixture into a well-greased pan. Sprinkle icing sugar over top. Put in fridge for 3 hours. Cut into squares.
