Barbecue Chicken Recipes
A selection of barbecue chicken recipes that you can prepare and bake in your oven. Oven Barbecue Chicken
Preheat your oven to 350 deg. F. Place the flour and salt in a shaker bag and add the chicken one or two pieces at a time and shake to coat. Place the coated chicken in a 9X13 inch baking pan and drizzle with 1/4 cup of melted margarine. In a saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of margarine and cook the onion and garlic until it's tender. Add all the remaining ingredients and simmer, uncovered for about 10 minutes. Pour the sauce over the chicken and bake for about 1 hour, or until chicken is tender. Barbecue Chicken With Green Peppers and Celery
Coat the chicken pieces with flour and salt. Fry the chicken pieces in oil until browned. Remove the chicken from the frying pan and place into a roasting pan. Add the onions, peppers and celery to the frying pan and cook until tender and then pour over the chicken. Combine the remaining ingredients (except the corn) and pour over the chicken as well.Cover the roaster and bake in a pre-heated 350 degree oven for about 90 minutes. In a small mixing bowl combine the barbcue sauce, Italian dressing, and the parsley flakes. Mix well and set aside. Brush both sides of the chicken with the barbecue sauce mixture and place skin side up and thick side towards the edges of a 12X7 inch glass baking pan. Micorwave on HIGH for about 18-23 minutes or until the chicken is no longer pink next to the bone. Let stand for about 5 minutes to cool before serving. Barbeque Chicken and Sauce
Preheat oven to 400 deg. F. Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper. Melt half the butter in a large roasting pan and add chicken. Turn each piece of chicken in the butter and baste well. Roast the chicken for 30 minutes turning occasionally and allow to brown. Melt the remaining butter in a large sauce pan and add the oil. Peel and thinly slice the onion and shred the green pepper. Add to the oil and butter, cover pan and fry over a gentle heat for about ten minutes or until the onion and pepper are tender. In another bowl, combine the ketchup, vinegar, sugar, mustard and Worcestshire sauce. Add the mixture to the pan of onions and peppers. Stir well and bring to a boil and then remove from heat. Remove the chicken pieces from the oven and drain away excess fat. Lower the oven temperature to 350 deg. F. Pour the barbeque sauce over the chicken pieces and return to the oven for 30 more minutes and baste the chicken pieces frequently.Oven Barbecued Cranberry Chicken
Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a skillet and brown the chicken pieces. When browned, remove the chicken and place in a baking pan. Using the same skillet cook the celery and onion until tender. Remove excess fat and oil. Add the cranberry and barbecue sauces and heat. Pour over the chicken pieces and bake uncovered at 325 deg. F. until tender, turning and basting occasionally. Barbecue Chicken
In a sauce pan combine the ketchup, water, onion, garlic powder, pepper and salt. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for about 20 minutes. Add the lemon juice. Place the chicken pieces in a roasting pan and pour the barbecue sauce over the chicken. Bake at 350 deg. F. for 45-60 minutes, turning the chicken once of twice.
