Awesome Red Beans and Rice

1 pkg. red kidney beans, rinsed and drained.
5 c. Water
2 can green chiles
1 lb. andouille sausage or spicy smoked sausage, sliced
2 tsp bacon grease
3 c. long grain rice
Creole Seasoning and Pepper to taste

In a crock pot, add beans and water. Turn crock pot to high. Add green chiles, sliced sausage, bacon grease, rice, and spices. Give a quick stir and cover. Cook on high for 1 hour. Then switch to low and cook for 6-7 hours or until rice is tender.
