Asparagus and Cheese Puff

4 slices of white bread
2 tbsp. butter or margarine
1 small onion (finely chopped)
1 can (14 oz.) asparagus spears (drained)
4 slices processed cheese slices
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. curry powder
1 cup milk
1/2 cup light cream
Preheat your oven to 350 deg. F.
Remove the crusts from the bread slices and cut in half. Generously butter a 8x8x2 inch baking dish.
Arrange the bread slices in the pan and sprinkle with the finely chopped onion.
Cover the bread and onion with the asparagus spears and then with the cheese slices.
Beat the eggs in a small bowl. Then add the seasonings, milk and cream to the eggs. Mix well and then pour evenly over the bread and asparagus.
Bake in a 350 deg. F. oven for 20 - 25 min. or until puffed and golden brown on the top.
