July 27,2005Submitted by: TiaCountry: United States Category: Main Course Recipes Recipe Name: PoBurger Hash Ingredients and Instructions: Ok keep in mind I never measure anything I just put a little of this and a little of that til it looks right...lol. So here is my best shot. This stuff is sooo good. Sorry the recipe is so general-
1lb ground beef
Start out by putting your ground beef in a bowl and mixing Lawry's season salt throughout before cooking. How much you put in will dependon how salty you like your meals. Next put ground beef in skillet and cook on high heat until brown all the way through. **Make sure it is in bite size or smaller pieces. In a microwave safe bowl make instant potatoes according to instructions on box. (The only changes I make is I don't use any water. I use only whole milk and I make them a little thicker than it calls for) When they are finished add butter, salt and pepper to taste. (remember there is salt in the hamburger too) Then take the ground beef and mix well with the potatoes. Next take two or three pieces of Texas toast and toast lightly. Place on a plate then put a scoop of the potato/beef mix and put on each slice. Then top with warmed beef gravy and enjoy. Great with mac and cheese and green beans!
